In today's hyper-connected world, Chicago operates under ctOS, the most advanced computer network in America.

The city of Chicago is monitored by ctOS, a central operating system controlling everything: traffic lights, security cameras, bridges, electrical grids, personal phones. Aiden Pearce, a brilliant hacker driven by a desire for justice, knows how to take control. Developed by Ubisoft Montreal and published by Ubisoft, Watch Dogs introduced hacking as a central mechanic in a major open-world triple-A title.

Watch Dogs - Standard Edition - Ubisoft - Chicago is connected. And you have the key.

Hack a traffic light to cause a collision, cut a building's power to infiltrate it, access a passer-by's phone to gather intelligence, block a bridge to stop a pursuit: ctOS gives you access to the entire city as your playground. Combined with cover-shooting and driving mechanics, it creates a versatile and intellectually stimulating action game.

We loved: The contextual hacking concept. Using the city's infrastructure as weapon and tool is a relevant and original game design idea. Every situation can be approached in multiple ways, and the solution that runs through the digital network is often the most satisfying.

We liked: The density of Chicago. The reconstructed city teems with details, side activities, citizen profiles to hack and stories to uncover. Wandering the streets while hacking nearby phones reveals a living, documented city.

Our highlight: The remote surveillance missions. Some missions can be resolved entirely through network cameras, moving from camera to camera without ever leaving cover. These sequences reveal the full tactical richness of the ctOS system.

Our tip to help you: Before every confrontation, take time to hack the surrounding cameras. From a camera you can hack other devices in its field of vision and map all enemy positions. By identifying heavily armed guards and snipers before entering, you can neutralise priority threats via pipe explosions or electrical shocks without triggering a full alarm. A well-informed hacker resolves any situation without firing a single shot.

Who is this game for?
Watch Dogs is aimed at players aged 18 and over who enjoy open-world action games with a strategic and technological dimension. An excellent choice for players who like approaching situations in multiple ways and those who find themes of surveillance and urban connectivity fascinating.
