The Sisters 2 - Road to Fame

The latest instalment in the adventures of Wendy and Marine, where they set out to become top influencers on a social network known as "Sis-Tok". To win new followers, the sisters can approach passersby with a "+" icon, or play minigames. Both a party game to play with friends and an open-world adventure in single-player, it's the perfect game for girls aged 8-11.

If you're aged 8-12 you'll already know all about The Sisters, and know that they're a huge hit. For everyone else, here's a recap: The Sisters is a series created by William Maury, first published on his blog, Just Like Family, back in 2006. The author had fun imagining adventures for his own daughters, and it was an immediate success! In 2007, the series was adapted as a comic book, and then as a hit cartoon: Sisters - Party of the Year .

The Sisters are now back to build on their solid track record with a new game entitled Road to Fame. In this new adventure, the girls have set their sights on something much bigger than organising another party!

After getting tablets as a reward for good grades at school, Wendy and Maurine have a single goal in mind: to become the influencers queens on a fictional social network known as Sis-tok. But to get there, they'll need to amass as many followers as they can, and get super-influencers to follow them back. And that's where the adventure begins!

Both a party game to play with friends and an open-world adventure in single-player, it's the perfect game for girls aged 8-11.

The different game modes provide a variety of options to explore the minigames. You can select them from the menu and play in single-player against the adjustable AI, in multiplayer with your friends, or in the single-player campaign to attract followers. Single-player mode serves up an engrossing experiences, with the freedom of GTA and none of the violence!

We liked how the game has built on the first game. The missions and objectives are more ambitious, focusing on amassing followers who you'll meet in the real world! What's more, the minigames are really varied, with 24 in total. They can now be played by up to four players on a single screen, making it a great game to play with friends. The minigames will challenge your reflexes, memory, speed, and much more besides.

We loved exploring the city, which is a much more immersive experience this time round. It's more alive, with passersby going about their business and traffic that makes the city feel busy.

To help you on your way, here's a few examples of the game's fun missions:

• Finding lost dogs: Wendy and Maurine help the locals be reunited with their beloved pets.
  – Taking photos of iconic landmarks: armed with their tablets, the sisters can take snapshots of the city's famous locations.
• Karting around: you can now speed around the city in a kart.
• Big Wheel: The sisters can climb up for panoramic views of the city, and some time to relax between adventures.

Although it's based in the same universe, when it comes to the graphics The Sisters 2 is a major upgrade on the first game, with finer textures and enhanced lighting effects.
