Developed by Frogwares, this, the 8th video game instalment in the adventures of the most famous British detective, takes us back to Victorian London, in the deerstalker of a 30-something Sherlock Holmes. Accompanied, as always, by the trusty John Watson and his dog, Toby, this time he will be harnessing his superhuman senses to solve a confounding mystery with a paranormal bent. The first bit of news? Sherlock Holmes is a father! And Kate, his adopted daughter, doesn’t like to make things easy. Her simple presence at 221B Baker Street raises a lot of questions that you will have to find the answers for. And of course you’ll be using plenty of Sherlock’s hallmark skill: deduction!
The kingdom’s most pragmatic detective, created by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle, will be forced to juggle his personal feelings and his sense of duty. A point & click adventure, Sherlock Holmes: The Devil's Daughter also incorporates a system of morality, so important to Dr Watson, that lets Sherlock pardon or condemn a criminal before closing each case. In his hunt for clues, he’ll be tasked with unravelling truth from lie by tailing suspects, using stealth and psychology, and even his fists, in masterful fight scenes. Fortunately, your sidekicks are there to help you. As such, you can count on Toby to sniff out certain clues, or Watson to solve riddles, puzzles, and other mini-games that you will encounter along your way.
And remember: “There is nothing more deceptive than an obvious fact”!
