Pure Farming immerses you in a real story: when your grandfather dies, you take over his farm, and take on his heavy debts. You can choose between three game modes: Sandbox, My First Farm, and Farming Challenges. Sandbox mode gives you free rein to build your Montana farm. My First Farm introduces you to crops grown in other countries, and as for the challenge mode… Find out for yourself!
While at first glance the two games look similar, and are both aimed at city-dwellers in need of some rural authenticity, you'll soon see that Pure Farming is a real game of its own. It is not content to simply have you cultivating the land in a European village or the vast American breadbasket. It immerses you in a real narrative: when your grandfather dies, you have a decision to make, and you decide to take over his farm and his heavy debts. Then it's up to you to "make hay"!
You can choose between three game modes: Sandbox, My First Farm, and Farming Challenges.
The first mode gives you free rein to build your Montana farm. The second serves as a tutorial to master all the game has to offer, particularly the crops from foreign climes (wasabi, olive trees, etc.)... or even renewable energies. The last game mode serves up scenarios to spice up your rural adventure, like droughts and fires. Real life, in other words!
Then there's the fact you can farm the four corners of the globe, from Montana to Germany, and including Italy, Colombia, and even Japan. And if you fancy trying your hand at livestock farming, you can even breed rabbits, chickens, and cattle.
Not to mention the cream of the crop, green energy, by building wind farms or a biogas factory. There's all you need to become a sustainable organic farmer!
In short, Pure Farming is the most comprehensive game out there for playing farmer at home, and its Sandbox mode will even be a hit with the littlest gamers.
