Night Call
Raw Fury
A modern masterpiece! Night Call is far more than just a minimalist indie game in black and white; it's a riveting crime drama that transports you to the freezing streets of Paris by night. Playing as a taxi driver, you encounter a series of passengers, each with their own very human concerns. It packs a narrative punch that's not to be missed, as every fare brings you closer to the killer.
Get lost in the enigmatic nightlife of Paris. Playing as a taxi driver, you'll become embroiled in a complex police investigation after being the "special witness" to a murder. The gameplay is split into two main sequences: taxi journeys, where you'll interact with your passengers to gather clues, and problem solving sequences where you'll analyse the information you've gathered in order to unmask the serial killer that stalks the city. Thanks to this mechanic, the game deftly combines narrative and interaction, enabling you to explore poignant stories while solving the main mystery.

We liked the game's quality writing. Each passenger you pick up is fully realised, with a variety of stories and characters that enrich your experience. The dialogue, which is incredibly well-written, provides sometimes tragic snapshots of life.
We loved the black and white visual style, with its gentle electro soundtrack that creates an immersive and melancholy atmosphere that accentuates the intensity of your encounters.
Our favourite part? The way the game uses its characters to explore profound themes. One of the passengers, for example, is an old lady who shares her experience of loss and regret, inviting the player to reflect on their own life choices. You'll also meet a disillusioned young man whose hopes, shattered by Parisian reality, add some real emotional depth to the story.

Our tip to help you on your way? We recommend being proactive when meeting your passengers. For example, during a journey with a character called Luc – a writer in search of inspiration – he mentions his creative frustration. At first, it might seem like he hasn't given you many clues, but if you encourage him to talk about his writing and his experiences, he'll provide vital details about another character who is connected to the killer.
Who will enjoy this game? Night Call is intended mainly for an adult audience due to its mature themes and complex writing. It's the perfect game for fans of narrative adventures, crime novels, and anyone looking for an interactive experience that focuses on reflection more than action. It's almost an interactive noir novel.
