Play the video game version of the famous board game and become a paranormal investigator! It’s up to you to choose whether you play as the ghost of the victim that leaves clues in the form of visions, or as the psychics awash in a sea of questions. Whichever you choose, this is a mystery game that will test the skills of even the most seasoned detectives!
A sordid murder, a ghostly victim that brings on visions, and shellshocked psychics: if we told you that Cluedo had gone all paranormal, you wouldn’t doubt us for a second. And yet, all of these things are actually part of the case in Mysterium: A Psychic Clue Game!
In case you’ve never heard of it, the plot of this official adaptation of the no-less famous board game is set in a Scottish country mansion in 1921, and revolves around a mysterious murder. One player chooses to play as the ghost of the victim, and their job is to guide a group of psychics to unmask the killer!
Throughout this paranormal investigation, the ghost player can offer clues to the psychics in the form of vision cards that can be infuriatingly abstract! While they only remain in play a short while, they may help the psychics find the scene of the crime, and the murder weapon! If you should fail, the case will always remain an unsolved mystery!
Mysterium: A Psychic Clue Game is a strategy and mystery game developed by Asmodee Digital. Whether you’ve played a mystery game before or not, plenty of fun awaits once you’ve got to grips with the game’s rules and controls.
To keep things simple, you play as either the ghost or the psychics. You’ll receive a list of suspects for each psychic that you can view by hovering over it with your cursor.
Then, it’s up to you to use your powers of deduction to match each ghostly vision to the right suspect, and move forwards in your investigation! Feeling lost? Never fear: there’s a “how to play” tab to help you out, and you can find it whenever you need it in the game’s options.
This faithful adaptation also boasts some new features that the board game doesn’t have. The hand-drawn graphics and seedy atmosphere provide total immersion in the mystery, and make it much easier to interpret the clues and cooperate between the psychics!
Mysterium: A Psychic Clue Game is a game for one or two players on the same device thanks to the Pass & Play mode, and there’s also a Story mode that lets you learn more about the dark pasts of your favourite psychics!
A purebred mystery game that’s not to be missed, especially if you’ve always been a fan of Colonel Mustard.
