A mysterious agent, capable of becoming a digital ghost, sneaks aboard the Nakamura Space Station. This is where the fun begins: the station is well-protected with its heavy defences, never-ending arsenal of weapons, and mysterious artifacts. It will all have to be destroyed.
A ghost agent, an ultra-secure space station and an arsenal of weapons to discover: Ghost 1.0 is an action-stealth Metroidvania that will keep you on the edge of your seat for hours. Developed by @unepic_fran, the creator of the cult classic Unepic, this demanding sci-fi game is a gem for fans of challenge and exploration.
A mysterious agent possesses a unique gift: the ability to transform into a digital ghost and infiltrate any electronic system. Their next mission? The Nakamura space station, a technological fortress with formidable defences. Armed to the teeth, the station is packed with enemies, secret weapons and artefacts to destroy. To overcome it, you must explore every corridor, master every ability and never let your guard down.
We loved: The richness of the Metroidvania gameplay, which rewards curiosity and perseverance. The Nakamura station map is vast, riddled with secret areas accessible only after acquiring new skills. The thrill of backtracking to unlock a previously inaccessible passage is as satisfying and addictive as ever.
We liked: Ghost's signature ability: possession. Taking control of an enemy robot to cross a dangerous zone, disable a security device from the inside or simply wreak havoc among enemy ranks is a mechanic as ingenious as it is exhilarating. It opens up endless strategic possibilities and constantly refreshes the gameplay.
Our highlight: The writing, surprisingly polished for a game of this style. The dialogues between the Ghost agent and their two mysterious employers are sharp, often funny and sprinkled with references to geek culture and science fiction. The offbeat tone and absurd humour recall the irreverent spirit of Unepic while bringing genuine freshness to the genre.
Our tip to help you: Do not hesitate to possess enemies to move through heavily guarded areas rather than charging in head first. Some robots have special abilities (access to locked areas, resistance to traps) that will open up valuable shortcuts. Above all, always keep an eye on your spectral energy bar, as returning to your body without having planned your retreat can prove fatal.
