On paper, you play as little blue men looking for the "costumes" they need to repair the six Disney universes under attack from a computer virus. What it’s actually like is a multiplayer massacre for players of all ages! The oldest gamers will appreciate the quirkier side of the Disney Universe, with the Rabbids and the LEGO games. For ages 8+.
Picking your favourite between two Disney films isn’t always easy. So best ask your kids! This is why Disney decided to make life easier for the whole family with Disney Universe, a 3D platform game packed with references and gags.
You play as a collector of Disney character costumes on an adventure that will take you on a jaunt through six of your favourite Disney worlds: the Lion King’s savannah, the forest from Alice in Wonderland, Aladdin’s cave, the deep seas of Nemo, WALL-E’s devastated planet, the galleons of Pirates of the Caribbean, and the offices at Monsters, Inc. What more do you need?!
Disney Universe was developed by Eurocom and published by Disney Interactive Studios. Really easy to pick up, especially for players aged 7-8, Disney Universe is a game that alternates between puzzle, mini-game, and brawler sequences.
You’ll need to solve a few puzzles alone or with some help from a friend (or a few of them!) to get ahead and collect bonuses, as well as gold nuggets shaped like Mickey’s head, and all while teaching your enemies a lesson. As you collect the gold across the levels, you will unlock new chapters, upgrade your many Disney costumes, and power up your character!
The graphics are nice and colourful, and there’s a lot of replayability. A good game to get the generations together.
