Because meanwhile, mankind will have colonised inhabited planets, and used football as a tool for intergalactic diplomacy! The aliens were immediately fascinated by this popular sport, but decided to tinker with the rules.

In Crazy Soccer: Football Stars, matches last five minutes, there’s no ref, and they are often punctuated with improbable events: kidnappings by flying saucers, meteorite showers, and gun towers and aerial bombardments! If you’re to become the best coach in the galaxy, you’ll need to work up a sweat and make full use of your most devastating weapons. One tip: forget everything you think you know about football!

Developed by Lion’s Shade, Crazy Soccer: Football Stars is a single- or multiplayer 2.5D football game with its own unique flavour.

Easy to pick up and play, even for beginners, its gameplay might leave fans of FIFA and other realistic football sims feeling a bit out of sorts.

But if you’re into the more futuristic kinds of sports where rules don’t matter so much, then Crazy Soccer: Football Stars is made for you! Tactically, it’s very simple: you don’t control your players, who all look like South Park characters! But as an all-powerful coach, you can influence the match and use special abilities by aiming your cursor on your desired area of the pitch.

When used in the right place at the right time, they will enable you to unleash offensive or defensive abilities depending on the level of your "energy-sir" bar.

It’s a handy way to score legendary goals or save that thirty-yard rocket! On the road to glory at the Intergalactic Championships (then the Parallel Universe Championship), you’ll come up against increasingly effective alien teams.

So make sure you upgrade your team using the "3 points"! If you are careful with how you use them, you can earn "Crazy" techniques, or support from the implacable "Legionnaires".

Just know that any resemblance to the FIFA of the future is purely coincidental!
