Biped is a physics-based 3D co-op action-adventure game. The gameplay is firmly based on fleeting cooperation between two-players. Two little biped robots, Aku and Sila, march side by side, tightening their bond over the course of a fun adventure on planet Earth as they strive to complete their mission.

In Biped, the concept is very simple: you control a little robot, step by step, one joystick for the left leg, the other for the right.

It can be tricky to get to grips with, but it’s fun while you’re at it. Get ready to struggle with your control pad in hand, as you move your character through the levels, fighting and timing your jumps just right. You can slide, or walk one leg at a time, knowing that your little feet are magnetic: a fact you can use to stick to and climb walls, as well as to grab items.

The aim is to make your way through a varied and colourful world. The story is just a pretext for you to solve puzzles, with mechanics that are reinvented over the course of the game. Sometimes you’ll even have to count your steps to get across a platform. Others, it’s all about colours: one robot is pink and the other blue. Some platforms change colour with every step, and if the ground is pink, it’s the pink robot’s turn to move, and vice versa. But that’s not all, because some levels take you riding the rapids in a boat, or in the middle of a forest where you turn into lumberjacks.

You guessed it: it’s vital that you help each other in this co-op game. If the robots end up fighting, for example, it deducts points from your final score!

Biped features great replayability. After you’ve completed the 10+ colourful levels, the game gives you a chance to put your agility to the test in an extremely complicated Pro Mode.

In terms of graphics, the game is perfect: Biped takes place in bright, colourful, and lovingly designed levels.

We fell in love with our two little robots, one round with pink eyes, the other a cube with blue. They’ll have you laughing and pulling your hair out from the tutorial onwards. Movement is well thought-out, but fun at the same time, and the gameplay is funny and effective: perfect for playing with a friend. The game is suitable for kids aged 9+. They need to be able to read what is happening on the screen and solve problems that require a little bit of thought. Plenty to bring different generations of gamers together!
