A Blind Legend is a game designed by French developers to be played entirely "by ear". And with good reason, because you play as a hero who has lost his sight. This means you'll need to find your way around without any visual input, and your enemies have no pity for your blindness.
To immerse yourself in this game world, you'll need to put your headphones on. Then begins your adventure as a blind knight who's wife has been kidnapped. Guided by the voice of Louise, your daughter, you'll need to use sounds to find your way around: the sound of the wind, the rustle of the leaves, as well as the clinking of your enemies and the sound of their footsteps. The controls for making your character interact with his environment are intuitive: just slide your finger around the touchscreen up, down, left, and right, etc.
The soundscape is magical. In just a few seconds you'll find yourself propelled into a medieval adventure, and all without the slightest visual. Our imagination can often be scarier than reality!
Get ready to experience the world of the visually impaired. Stripped of your usual senses, the first few minutes of the game serve up a steep learning curve! Fortunately, there's a voice to guide your first steps and explain how the world works, and whenever you get lost, your daughter Louise will call out to get you back on the right track.
Thanks to the game's highly polished 3D audio, you can "see" with your eyes closed. The village with the hubbub of its residents, the sound of water flowing from a fountain, etc. Not to mention the beating of your character's heart, which serves as a life bar, and the sound of your breathing, which changes depending on the situation.
The black screen only comes to life to show the credits on the welcome screen, and to symbolise your character's sword strikes. But it's best enjoyed with your eyes closed, to focus fully on the sounds.
A gaming experience you don't want to miss.
