On the planet Cebron, your mission is to collect the eggs of six endangered species in order to save the local wildlife. With its colourful yet minimalist graphics, each area serves up varied environments, from hidden forests to ruined shopping centres, all filled with secrets waiting to be discovered. The atmosphere is soothing and nostalgic.
We liked the non-violent gameplay. You just need to use your wits and the animals' special abilities in order to make progress, making each enemy encounter a fun and creative experience. The boss battles take the form of stimulating puzzles, providing a challenge without ever getting frustrating. And it's all accompanied by joyful sound effects that bring your every action to life.
Hidden feathers and health boosters give you a reason to search every corner of the level, and treasures await in the most difficult to access areas. And if you complete all of the quests, you'll unlock a door that leads to a treasure hunt!
Our favourite part? The feeling of progression is really rewarding. Each new skill you unlock opens up further opportunities to explore the planet by returning to areas that you were unable to reach earlier in the game (the whole concept behind Metroidvania games).
Our tip to help you on your way? If you can't find the final feather on the first screen with the spaceship, turn into a bird and fly under the ship. It might be one of the hardest feathers to find as it is so well hidden!
